The world of work

"If the space changes, everything else changes with it."
Kristin D. Randazzo

The success of a move to a new work environment is often reflected in casual statements such as “Since the move…”, which indicate how well the change has been accepted and how well the new work environment has been understood.

Mental health

"It's not more time that means more performance, but more energy."
Kristin D. Randazzo

Those who reflect more often are less out of themselves. Healthy work and life are achieved through mindfulness with and toward themselves. It means knowing or feeling when it's time. Time to take a break. Time to listen to your body's signals. Time to pause for a moment. When you pause, you are not inactive. You simply allow yourself, as is human nature, to embrace the potential of the other side (the parasympathetic nervous system). If this natural regulatory mechanism receives too little attention, a one-sided burden arises, which over time leads to constant physical and psychological tension (dominant sympathetic nervous system), with the well-known consequences for physical, mental, and psychological health. It's about creating balance and providing the spatial and informational conditions for a self-determined, health-conscious design of the workday. Balance through movement at the workplace and in the building. Balance through healthy working and strengthening health literacy. Balance through new opportunities for collaboration and encounters. The parts – people, space and culture – are connected to form a whole.

New ergonomics

A healthy posture releases energy and strengthens mental health. When the body is healthy, the mind is healthy too."
Andreas Stommel

New ergonomics considers people in the work context and incorporates physical, mental, and organizational factors. Aspects of holistic ergonomics include: Physical ergonomics: Optimization of the work environment to reduce physical strain (working posture, screen orientation, tool use, movement sequences). Cognitive ergonomics: Improving mental working conditions to minimize stress, cognitive overload, and inappropriate workloads (e.g., task design, break management). Social and organizational ergonomics: Incorporates work culture, leadership, communication structures, and the social environment to promote a healthy work climate and create supportive working conditions. Emotional ergonomics: Focuses on emotional health by designing the work environment to increase employee well-being, motivation, and satisfaction. Holistic ergonomics thus creates a comprehensive, healthy working environment that considers people as a whole – physically, mentally and socially.

When the spine burns
Back school was yesterday

In this presentation, you'll learn why conventional back training concepts often fail to achieve the desired effect and which new approaches lead to sustainable back prevention. A central component of this approach is new ergonomics, which not only improves posture but also has positive effects on mental health. Experience how optimized ergonomic alignment not only prevents back pain but also improves well-being and resilience in everyday life.

When life
takes you out of the race, live
